Center of Applied Technology -South

BHS Students can get hands on experience in a variety of career programs at CAT-South.  9th and 10th graders have the opportunity to participate in the Career Explorers Program as an elective class.  Career Explorers can sample up to 4 different programs each semester they are enrolled.  10th and 11th grade students can apply for Level 1 of a specific program.  Visit www.catsouth.org for more information or to apply.

Naviance

Students have access to many tools, searches and inventories through Naviance, which is a wonderful resource provided to all AACPS students.  Through the career tab, students can match various careers to their personalities and personal strengths.  From there, students can research skills, degrees, training, income and many other variables as they relate to each specific career.

MD Workforce Exchange

The MD Workforce Exchange is a great resource to view jobs/careers in Maryland.  Use this tool to research job descriptions, market trends, salary information and more.  You can also search for training and education programs, research local employers and post a resume.
